Everyone can volunteer, from all cultures, abilities, backgrounds and age groups. Volunteer Centre Merton offer one-to-one services to volunteers. They provide information, advice and news about volunteering through a database of over 200 opportunities. They can help you choose volunteering placement which matches your skills and can set up an appointment for you with the organisation. They hold training days and support events for volunteers, promoting good practice to organisations working with volunteers and offering ongoing support to volunteers who are enduring or recovering from mental distress or illness, or who have physical, sensory or learning disabilities. They also have a youth section if you’re between 16 and 25.
