Experts in Evaluation

GLV network day, bright room with view over London, a facilitator writes on a flipchart, participants sitting around a table looking at the flipchart, with a second group of participants talking

The Experts in Evaluation Toolkit offers a comprehensive guide to help any organisation with a volunteer programme, from the smallest to the largest, to successfully measure their programme’s impact and value, support effective analysis and aid its improvement.

We’ve broken the toolkit down into three smaller parts to ensure it’s easy to download, but to get the most from the toolkit we’d recommend you read the whole thing – you can also download individual tools from the sub-page links in the right-hand panel of this page.

The sections of the toolkit are:

An Introduction – including an overview of the approach, a guide to the tools, and some prompt questions to help you identify which tools will be most relevant to what you want to achieve;

The Tools – a full version of all the tools (though remember that each tool can also be individually downloaded in adaptable formats (such as Word) using the links under the “sub-pages” heading on the right of this page); and

Experts in Evaluation – Beyond The GLV Toolkit – with some links to other resources, and to the reference materials used in developing the toolkit

When you’re ready to use the tools you’ll find accessible versions (in Word, Excel and similar formats) under the sub-page links on the right.
